Operation Buy-a-Bus!
With more kids in homes and families, and out of dormitories, transportation has become a challenge.
With more kids in homes and families, and out of dormitories, transportation has become a challenge.
As Imana Kids has grown over the past decade, as an organization we continue to be convicted that the best place for kids is in homes. Slowly, we have built up our community in the surrounding neighborhoods and areas proximal to Hope Village as well as Apade, the secondary school that our high school students attend. In doing so, there are more children spread out across the city, and our transportation budget now runs approximately $1000 each month.
One solution to this problem is hiring our own graduates that have completed drivers programs and to own our very own (gently used) school bus.
