To build a library for Ethan
Join me on 'Giving Tuesday'
When Ethan was 7, I (Susan) promised to take him to the newly remodeled downtown library on opening day. The next day, she learned that E hadn’t slept the entire night out of his excitement to go see ALL the books. Years later, when visiting college campuses, Ethan insisted we check out the library after the walking tour, stating he couldn’t respect or attend a school that didn’t have an ‘amazing’ library.
Everywhere Ethan went, there were books stashed somewhere. He even used to intentionally leave books on the passenger seat of his car, just ‘in case someone needed something to read on a long ride.’ Ethan was passionate about knowledge and believed that the more people read, the more they would understand and respect others. When Ethan visited IMANA Kids in Rwanda, he left many of his books behind for the students at the ‘Sparrow’s Nest,’ a safe haven for many children in need.
For ‘Giving Tuesday’ this year, we are requesting that if you are interested in donating to the worthy cause of creating a proper library that will be appropriately named, ‘Ethan’s Library,’ we can assure you your funds will be used for an incredible purpose that will help many in the years to come.
Here are three ways to participate, depending on your level of comfort:
- Donate. Every little bit helps.
- Donate, and then SHARE out the link to our page onto social media.
- MAKE YOUR OWN FUNDRAISER. It’s not that hard and can be done in minutes. Just follow the instructions on our page to ‘Start Fundraising’ and go!
Also, don’t forget that for AMAZON purchases, you can always set your default charity to Imana Kids and .05% of all purchases will go to Imana’s general fund. THANK YOU for everything.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Imana Kids
